Geir Sverre Braut, born 1955
Geir Sverre Braut has been Deputy Director General at Norwegian Board of Health Supervision since 2002. Braut previously has been Chief County Medical Officer in Rogaland County (1994-2001) and Senior Advisor in the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs (1999).
Braut has a medical degree from University of Oslo (1980). He is a specialist in community medicine. He also is senior lecturer at Stord/Haugesund University College.

- Laerdal Foundation for Acute Medicine – head of the board
- EPSO – European Partnership for Supervisory Organisations in Health and Social Care – head of the board
